Physician Interlink has developed a document management system initially to be used by its own employees to make working problem insurance claims more efficient. After we saw the time savings and improvement in quality we gained, we made it available to clients. All daily work is scanned and read with optical character recognition (OCR) for search ability and saved to a secure, shared drive, accessible from any workstation.
A particular EOB can be retrieved by typing in a patient's name in the search function. Ease of accessing EOB's makes working problem claims easier and more efficient and facilitates answering patient questions on claim settlement. The result is a better collection rate and happier patients.
